Here In My Arms Music and Lyrics by Patrick Godfrey Copyright 2008 Apparition Music Inc. SOCAN Here in my arms, There is no space for the world of fear and doubt. My arms will keep it out. My arms are strong. Here you belong, and will stay until the day Returns the sky to blue, it’s me and you, We’ll hold the night away. Here in my dream, There is no time for regret, or loss, or sorrow. We’ll dream here till tomorrow. My dream is deep. Here we will sleep, And the world can start anew. We’ll float on clouds of love, above the storm, Into a sky so blue, aworld that’s true. Awake, and so aware, of the beauty everywhere. Here in my song, There’s only peace, and the love I have for you. You know my love is true. My song’s for you, to hold the night, When the morning sun shines through. Though shadows flee the light of day, I pray that you will stay, Here in my song. Here in my dream. Here in my arms. Stay, here in my arms.

Easy 04:30
Easy Music and Lyrics by Patrick Godfrey Copyright 2006 Apparition Music Inc. SOCAN It’s easy to fall, it’s harder to recover. First you stall then you think maybe you love her. Alright, must be this Winter night, It’s chilled me to the bone, I don’t want to be alone. I’ve been in love, and under suspension, Overjoyed, and beside myself with tension. I touch your hand, I hope nobody sees, The trembling of my heart, or the shaking of my knees. I’m always searching for something I can’t find. I’m beginning to think I’m trapped inside my own mind. Cause I’m always looking for something I can’t see. Make it easy for me. Oh it’s easy to wound, it’s harder to heal. Hard to sleep, and easy to feel alone, In the night, When the owl calls and the moon is in flight. You know, I lived in a town, I never even saw, Where I played the clown, and broke all the laws of romance, But in this circumstance, I think I’ll take a chance, I might even learn to dance. But I’m always listening for a song I can’t quite hear. I know a few of the words, but the tune’s not too clear. I think it’s a sad song, with a haunting melody. Oh, make it easy for me. Make it easy to laugh out loud again, Make it harder to say No. Make it so that tears when they flow, Wash away the dark of the night and the cold of the Winter, And make this old heart dance. I’m always dreaming of living in another time and place where I can escape the ghost of a certain face. But then I remember, that’s no way to be free, Or make it easy for me. It’s easy to fall, it’s harder to recover. First you stall then you think maybe you love her. Alright, must be this November night, Has chilled me to the bone, I don’t want to be alone. So make it easy, Make it easy, Make it easy.

Summer Rain 05:51
Summer Rain Music and Lyrics by Patrick Godfrey Copyright 2008 Apparition Music Inc. SOCAN I hear the lonely whistle blowing, Across the sea, from the distant hill. I always feared the day when you’d be going, You’re gone, but I feel your spirit still. By these teardrops on my cheek, My silent heart’s betrayed. It’s not only love, but truth we seek, It’s just the way we’re made. So though my strengths and weaknesses Keep changing places, I remain the same. Searching for your faces, In this gentle summer rain. Rain, rain, rain, You’ll never come again. Wild roses, blooming on the green hill, Their ancient perfume, floating on the air. The wren’s sweet song, the morning light, All is so still. I speak your names, I know that you are there. Through clouded eyes I see this world That you no longer know. My senses yours, our hearts unfurled, It always has been so. I can’t forget, escape regret, and yet my soul rejoices all the same. I am listening for your voices, In this gentle summer rain. Rain, rain ,rain, You’ll never come again. Summer rain. I know this heartache, this deep sorrow, Is the price we pay for knowing love. And that life’s not ours, and our time is borrowed, From the earth beneath our feet, And the sky above. So many years, my thirsty ears, Listened, but in vain, For my dry heart to find the part To sing away the pain. But lost inside the noise, The simple joys and healing laughter still remain. Now I’m standing on this hillside, Singing in the summer rain. Rain, rain, rain, You’ll never come again. Summer rain. I hear the lonely whistle blowing, Across the sea from the distant hill.

The Music of Her Passage Music and Lyrics by Patrick Godfrey Copyright 1974/2008 Apparition Music Inc. SOCAN We have lived our whole lives Under glass and steel. We have been carried so far away, By the tyranny of wheels. By this insane motion from place to place, From age to age, And from face to face. My eyes have turned to stone. They reflect no light, and have no light of their own. Blind stars, in empty space, With no fire of life, And no vision of grace. My love has died right in my hands, From all the talk of freedom, and the brotherhood of man. This sorrow has become so real, It has dissolved my faith. It is all I feel. The earth is blue, as she spins through the years. Is the music of her passage wasted on our ears? As we dance in our crazed rhythms? As we dance, in our crazed rhythms.

That's Why 03:52
That’s Why Music and Lyrics by Patrick Godfrey Copyright 2007 Apparition Music Inc. SOCAN That's why you turn when you’re walking out the other way, It’s something that you learn, though you don’t need it every day. Walk down the street just like you planned To be right there when the aliens land. You can grin and watch the little grey men Shaving in the window with their ball point pens. Scratching lines from space on their face, Veiny blue maps for the human race, That’s why you turn. That’s why you turn. And here’s why you sing though your heart is broken, Put a tiny wing on each word that’s spoken. Fling them up into the sky, Maybe they’ll wait for you until the day you die. Honour, trust, love and joy, They’re flying around like little boys, Cherry bombs every Spring, chasing cats and everything, That’s why you sing! And here’s why you dance in a cross eyed trance, Shake and wiggle like there’s bees in your pants. 10,000 workers, 200 drones, Hawaiian queen is buzzing on the throne. Saints alive I love that royal jelly, but when you pass the hive you better crawl on your belly. If them and their buddies see you pass you’ll get a million red dots on your pretty little... Bottom, that’s where they got him. It’s what their momma taught em, and now you gotta swat em. They can make you cry, but buzz buzz then they’re gonna die. Uh uh uh, uh. That’s why you dance dance dance dance dance. Fried potato, terminator, sweet tomato, accelerator. Zeeba neighbor, now she’s in labour, sooner or later you’re gonna have to debate her. A moment later, Tom will date her, a twist of fate, the neighbour ate her, On a plate, brought by a waiter, in a coat made out of a goat. Well, I tell myself, I’m no elf, but why’s my home on this dusty shelf? No one hears, no one sees, I’m through with trying to please just me only, I’m so lonely, so’s my song, what went wrong? There’s so many things I’m trying to learn, and that is why I turn. That;s why you turn when you’re walking out the other way, It’s something that you learn, though you don’t need it every day. Walk down the street just like you planned To be right there when the aliens land. Give them a helping hand, or is it sooner than you planned? Find a place to stand, isn’t it grand? Everyday a new demand, And they’re not yet banned. Be right there when the aliens land.

Don't Cry 04:16
Don’t Cry Music and Lyrics by Patrick Godfrey Copyright 2008 Apparition Music Inc. SOCAN I know the Summer's over, the sky is grey with cloud, Don't cry, don't cry. This world's just tilting over, so call my name out loud. Don't cry, don't cry. Don't sit there heartbroken, call out my name. The words of love we've spoken let us laugh through this spinning game. A single star is shining above the icy sea, Don't cry, don't cry. Its silver light protects us, reminds us we are free. Don't cry, don't cry. Did you hear the wind howl in the firs last night? I dreamed that we were flying to that star through the silver light We went soaring through the night. We were soaring from the winter to the spring, From the edges of the morning we could hear our bright star sing. We were soaring, above the day and night, Beyond the dark and empty space, into the sweet clear light, We were soaring. As the dawn was breaking we were dreaming of the spring Don't cry, don't cry. That silver light awakening a song that we can sing. Don't cry. don't cry. I still feel us soaring, above the snow and rain Then spinning round the golden sun, we fall in love again. We fall through the spellbound night. From the fragrant clouds of Springtime, we could see our star so bright We were falling to the edge of time, Beyond the dark and silent space, To the morning of our minds, We were falling. I know the Summer’s over, and the sky is grey with cloud, But don’t cry, Don’t cry.

Walking 04:30
Walking Music and Lyrics by Patrick Godfrey Copyright 2006 Apparition Music Inc. SOCAN It was an August day, a pearl pink dawn. I read the sky, soon I'll be gone, I'm walking. I could hear the world spinning 'round. How could a Summer breeze make such a lonely sound? I'm walking. A broken heart is a heavy load. I want to leave it by the side of the road. Walk away from this crazy game. And walk until I'm feeling whole again. I'm walking, I'm walking. It was a quiet night, but still I couldn't sleep. I heard the sparrow sing, I began to weep. I'm walking. So I turned to ask you if you felt the same, but you were already gone, then you called my name: "Let's go walking." We'll walk in the sunshine we''l walk in the rain. We'll walk in joy, we'll walk in pain. We'll walk on stone, we'll walk on wood. Walk out of this bad luck, into the good. We'll go walking, we'll go walking. Two broken hearts? That's a heavy load. Let's leave them by the side of the road. We'll walk away from this crazy game. And walk until we're feeling whole again. We're walking, we're walking. If there comes a time in your life, When all you sought was peace, but all you found was strife, Then go walking. And a thought will come, like a warm Spring rain, You will laugh and say, I feel love, again. I've been walking. I'm walking on water, walking on air. Walking with a smile that says I just don't care. Walking on salt and walking on sand. I'm walking with my baby and she's holding my hand. We're walking. We're walking. It was an August day, a pearl pink dawn. I read the sky, soon we'lll be gone, We'll be walking.

Mysteries Of Love Music and Lyrics by Patrick Godfrey Copyright 2008 Apparition Music Inc. SOCAN Could you hear the song I sang last night, my love, As you lay sleeping? And the stars fell from the sky, So fierce and bright, like angels weeping? On the shining lake, the loons sang their own lonely song. “Soon our Summer will be gone, As we drift through stardust towards the dawn.” Did you know, the words I sang, I learned from you, the day we met? They have lived here in my heart, a song of love I can’t forget. From the distant hills the wolves sang their own ancient tune, As the golden August moon Slowly crept into our room. And over there, on a chair, A hat, a glove. So we have shared the mysteries of love. So we stayed there all night long, Lost inside our dream of song. Wondering how it came to be, The song, the words, and you and me. Then the morning breeze began his love song to the trees, “Won’t you come along with me? There is so much left to see.” And over there, on a chair, A hat, a glove. So we have shared the mysteries of love.

Mes Amis 05:37
Mes Amis Music and Lyrics by Patrick Godfrey Copyright 2008 Apparition Music Inc. SOCAN The robin and the lark are singing in the park. Calling you away, on this lonely day. So run along and see, what may come to be, And set your young heart free. It’s so hard to lose a friend, and say goodbye. You can’t believe how the story ends, There’s no reason why. So walk down to where the river bends reflections in the sky. It’s no use, you can’t pretend, Now it’s your turn to cry. The tears are flowing from your eyes. Petals on the water, Drifting in slow circles, In this crystal light are all you feel and see, Mes amis, et mes deaux belles filles. A dreamy Summer day, you can hear the children play. Dancing in the street, their laughter oh so sweet. You know the dreams they share, Can be scattered in the air, And sometimes, it’s just not fair. My Father’s Mother died when he was just a boy. Left him alone in Montreal with just his favorite toy. They sent him down to his Uncle Lee, to try to make him whole. He rode that sad train all night, with his Muma’s soul. The tears were flowing from his eyes. Peering from the window, watching moonlit fields fly by, And wondering, at the end, does someone wait for me? Oh Mes Amis, et mes deux belles filles. The night was cold and long, so we sang another song. Fado, or the blues, which heartache will you choose? Pink shadows on the lawn, foretold the coming dawn. I turned, and you were gone. We’ll meet tomorrow night, by the apple tree. I know I’ll feel alright, because you’ll sing to me. Your sweet songs of liberty, under the star bright sky. I know you’ll stay with me, Because it’s my turn to cry. The tears are falling from my eyes. Tears of love, tears of joy, No tears of rage for that little boy, or for me. Mes Amis, et mes deux belles filles. The robin and the lark are singing in the park. Calling you away, on this lonely day. So run along and see, what may come to be, And set your old heart free. Set your old heart free.

These Blues 04:06
These Blues Music and Lyrics by Patrick Godfrey Copyright 2006 Apparition Music Inc. SOCAN I wish these blues would blow away, Clear the sky on this Summer day, If they won't go, here's what I say, I'm gonna shine my shoes and walk away from these blues. Here are some things I recall from last night: the weight of the world, the speed of light, how to say grace in the depths of space and that sad little smile on your face. I wish these blues would blow away, Clear the sky on this Summer day, If they won't go, here's what I say, I'm gonna shine my shoes and walk away from these blues. Do you ever really know what you need? Or what will grow when you plant a seed? A fragrant flower or a scratchy weed? A sweet fruit with a thorn that can make you bleed? I wish these blues would leave me alone. I wanna hang them up like a telephone. If they won't go, here's what I say, Gonna shine my shoes and walk away from these blues. Goodbye Blues! There's a red eyed lizard on the garden wall. He's waiting for the rain to fall. What was that? I thought I heard you call. Oh, suddenly the world feels so small. I wish these blues would blow away. Last night I had a dream. I threw my shoes into a stream, Filled my pockets up with rocks, and walked into the water in my argyle socks. I wish these blues would blow away. Blow away blues! Tell me now, this guy, is he your lover or is he a friend. Someone who'll be with you at the end? To hold your hand and say a prayer as your spirit floats into the air? Will he speak your name? Will he close your eyes, as you drift away into the skies? I wish these blues would blow away. I wish these blues would blow away, Clear the sky on this Summer day, If they won't go, here's what I say, I'm gonna shine my shoes and walk away from these blues. Blow away blues!
